I have to admit that after almost three years of being natural I still cannot tell you what hair type I have LOL but I am researching it and when I find out you'll be the first to know!! I do however know that my hair is not the most coarse or curly. Anyhow when looking for a good gel I look for something that will hold my style in place throughout the day but not something that is too stiff because I like to take my hair apart and twist it at night. So I purchased Eco Styler Professional Styling Gel Argan Oil at my local beauty supply for $3.99. It definitely holds my style in place for my entire work day (10+ hours), it smells great, it's affordable and it isn't difficult to separate my hair at night to twist. My only complaint is it does flake a little bit and on the container it says it doesn't but it isn't extremely noticeable and it typically happens after a few days so my assumption is it's because of all the built up gel. I do recommend this product, I know we all have different hair types but think about it, it's not a big risk to take as far as money is concerned because it's under $5 and you can opt for the smaller container that's even cheaper.
